Tanisha Silvagnoli
Tanisha Silvagnoli has dedicated her adult life to service in the York area as a volunteer, human resources professional, advocate and more. Born in Puerto Rico and raised in the South Bronx, her formative experiences included a period of homelessness due to circumstances beyond her control. This adversity spurred her to volunteer with the local food bank when she moved to York as a young adult. Tanisha built ties in her community that led her to employment as an intake support specialist, and later an appointed commissioner, where she worked to combat housing and employment discrimination. She further honed her skills while serving as a legislative assistant in the PA House of Representatives. Tanisha has built her career by fostering public engagement, conducting outreach, and looking out for the interests of real people. Today, Tanisha has a successful career in HR Operations within an esteemed healthcare organization. Tanisha’s current skill sets include people and resource management, strategic planning, benefits administration, and improving patient care. Her greatest achievement has been parenting her son, a successful Central York graduate, and her daughter, a current student living in the district. Tanisha is driven by a desire to give back to the community that shaped her as a young adult and which welcomed her children. She knows the value of a quality education and believes the people of the district deserve a board that puts their interests first. Back to the other candidates! |
