Amy Milsten
Amy Milsten is the current president of the Central York School District Board of Directors. She is the proud parent of two Panthers, a 2022 graduate and a current senior. As the parent of a child with special needs, Amy has witnessed first-hand the importance of Special Education programs and the profound effect they can have on student outcomes. Electing Amy would bolster our district’s efforts to provide a quality education for all our students. The York community knows Amy as a dedicated and involved volunteer. She serves as a Board Member of the York Symphony Orchestra, chairing its Education and Community Engagement committee. She has also served on the Board of the York JCC, which provides a variety of needed and valued community events and services. Amy also co-founded a support group for local survivors of breast cancer. We deserve board members that understand the ways our district is connected to our community and the non-profit organizations that enrich our lives. Amy studied Molecular Biology at Muhlenberg College and Northwestern University. She ran the Virology testing department at a biosafety laboratory, and served as a Quality Assurance Officer for the research division of a major pharmaceutical company. Amy has also been a substitute teacher for all grade levels of Central York School District. She has the experience needed to guide our district on a path toward success and support initiatives that bring real-world results. Back to the other candidates! |
